Let's Do the FIVE Jive!

5 months old...how is that even possible? How do we start the week off on Monday and when we wake up, it's somehow already Sunday? How, when I blink my eyes, another month has passed by? Why, when you enjoy something so much, does it go by quicker that the things you enjoy less? Why, when you want time to slow down, does it only seem to speed up? Why, when my baby girls were born yesterday, are they already 5 months old today? I know it's cliche, but time really does fly when you're having fun. And that saying is exactly right because we truly are having the time of our lives. We are so thankful that God chose us to be these two little angels' parents and are doing our best to honor Him in all that we do.

At 5 Months you girls:

Are wearing 3 and and 3-6 month outfits, 3 month pajamas if footless or separates.
Are beginning to get interested in holding your bottles.
Are sleeping on your tummies more (E at night and during naps, A during naps only) and this actually seems to help you sleep better.
Have discovered that you can pick up your own paci and place it in your own mouth which is very helpful for mommy and daddy :)
Are showing evidence of teething and NONE of us are fans of this :(
Have learned how to roll from front to back and back to front but get EXTREMELY frustrated when you can't make yourself turn back over (especially when on tummy).
Are grasping/holding your toys so much better making it easier for you to play and explore more.
No longer sleep swaddled but have graduated to sleep sacks.
Do such a great job of lifting your head when on your tummy which is evidenced in the pictures below :)
Have started grabbing your toes more which is oh so adorable!!
Have celebrated your first St. Patty's Day.
Have tried sitting in bumbos....and it was an epic FAIL.
Are the happiest little girls first thing in the morning....all smiles and even a little talking.
Are eating 6-7 ounces of formula every 3-4 hours.
Have started eating rice cereal with a spoon but also take it in your bottles (eat it at least once a day). You have even tried oatmeal and seem to like both....at least a little ;)
Have shown a tiny interest in crawling by scooting a little randomly.
Are squealing with joy and we just love listening to this :)
Are taking much better naps and even getting on a more consistent nap schedule.
Have the most beautiful little smiles ever...even if you refuse to show the world ;)
Like to show how much you love each other by snuggling and holding hands....and we just love this!
Are talking so much and it's just the most precious sound in the whole wide world!
Have moved up a step in the bath time world....no more using a net to lay down.
Now wear footless pajamas since you are so long and outgrow the others ones so easily.
Love to take walks and do pretty much anything else that involves being outdoors.
Still light up when your daddy comes home from work!
Are truly the light of our lives and make it so much more special simply be being in it!
