A Little Mess, A LOT of Fun :)

Or should it be the other way around ;)  As crazy as it sounds, this is one of those things that I used to dream about when we were longing to have children.  I would pass by the baby aisle and picture us purchasing bowls, spoons, and the oh so yummy baby food.  I know, I'm crazy...but when you can't have what you want so badly, I think the little things shine so much brighter....and even taunt you at times.  I truly try to cherish each moment we have with our girls and not take any of it for granted because I know there are so many out there still passing by the baby aisle, feeling how I did at one time. We are so very blessed.

People laugh at me all the time because of my obsessiveness with taking a picture of EVERY.FIRST.THING.THEY.DO.  But, I can't help it....I truly don't want to miss a thing.  Their first taste of solids (rice cereal) was no exception!  I didn't want James to miss it either so we waited until dinner time for our first experience so that he would be home from work. I had everything set up when they woke up from nap; bottles made, cereal prepared, bumbos positioned perfectly in the center of the table, bibs & burp cloths & wipes oh my!  And of course, we can't forget the camera and camcorder for our must have photo shoot!

I think the photos and the video speak for themselves.  The girls seemed curious but not exactly sure about this new adventure.  But believe me when I tell you that it didn't take them long.  A couple of consistent weeks of feedings and they are now the little piglets we have all come to know and love :)

Okay mom....enough pictures already!  We want to see what the fuss is all about :)
We discovered pretty quickly that we had to start them off with their bottles or they would just scream....I guess they were too hungry to be patient (hmmm...that doesn't sound at ALL like their mother) :)

This was take #4....see above about the screaming ;)

I think our first experience was a success....just look at those faces!
