The Big 2-9

Sorry to disappoint you, but not ALL blog posts can be about my girls. Surprisingly, we do have a life outside of them....

Oh, who am I kidding!  Our worlds revolve around those two little beauties and I wouldn't have it any other way :)

However, we did get to go on a baby-free date for my birthday....first time leaving our girls with anyone other than one of us.  My parents have made an effort to come and see the girls at least once a month since they were born. They decided my birthday weekend would be a good time to visit so that we could go out alone.  It was hard to leave them but we really did have a nice time.  We went to my favorite restaurant, The Melting Pot, for dinner.  If you haven't tried it, go.  Right now!  It's a longer process than your average dinner and a bit pricier but oh so worth it!

We did it!  We managed to get away for the evening and forget all about our girls and focus on us and our marriage...

Or, we went and talked about nothing but our girls the entire dinner.  Yep, that's more like it :)  But seriously, what better conversation is there than two little miracles who have forever changed your life?  Agreed...there is none!

We're so thankful for my wonderful parents who drove several hours to come and babysit for us so we could go out.  Yeah right, they didn't come just so we could go out....they really just wanted to spend time with their granddaughters ;)  Either way, it worked out in everyone's favor!
