Bitter Sweet

Today is a bitter sweet day...as I say hello to summer, I also say goodbye to some of my precious friends who I have taught for 2 years now! We have had our ups and downs, challenges along the way, but I love each and every one of my students and truly want the best for them. It is hard to see them leave as they are the cornerstones of my classroom. I (along with my AMAZING para's) might be the ones who teach them and guide them, but the children are the ones who make our room so special--sometimes I think they have taught me more than I have taught them. They are the ones who come to school each day with a smile on their face despite the many obstacles fighting against them...and they courageously continue to fight back! Although I might fail to notice it at times, my kids (and their incredible parents) are my inspirations in life and are what keeps me going back each day (you and I both know it's not the money)!

So, to my precious friends: I am so thankful to have had the opportunity to share the past 2 years (or 1 in some cases) with you! I wish you the best in your future and hope to keep in touch. Stay strong little ones...you will ALL do great things! Lot's of love always!

We too are sad to be moving on from your classroom. It will not be the same dropping off and picking John up everyday without seeing your sweet faces. For those of us who never left our child with anyone else before they started school, thank you for giving them a safe and fun place to be, where we didn't have to worry every second they were gone. I didn't know what to expect when we dropped him off that first day 2 years ago, but you guys exceeded any expectation i may have had. He grew so much and learned so much, and I'll never be able to express my sincere gratitude for that.

We love you, and will miss seeing you everyday, but we will always keep in touch.

It was my pleasure and an honor to work with John and your family! I too cannot imagine school next year without him-it truly will not be the same! Just the thought of it brings tears to my eyes. But yes, we will indeed keep in touch! :-) I have to keep hanging with my Johnny John!!
