Take Three

Book #2: Take Three (Author: Karen Kingsbury)

Chase Ryan and Keith Ellison set out to change the world with their films--and they are finally seeing their dreams come true. The dedicated producers are deep in negotiations with America's top young movie star to play the lead in their next inspirational movie. But life takes a sudden turn for Chase, removing him from Jeremiah Productions permanently. In the process, Keith brings on one of the Baxter family members and the movie making continues.

At the same time, a crisis hits Keith's daughter, Andi, and Keith feels helpless to respond. Devastated by the consequences of her wrong actions, Andi ventures out on her own and decides on a course of action that could destroy her. Meanwhile, Bailey Flanigan is caught up in her own drama with Cody Coleman. A Campus Crusade retreat gives them time alone along the shores of Lake Monroe and lets them face a possibility they've avoided for years.

Will Keith keep the passion he had at the start of his film making--and will there be enough passion left over for his hurting daughter? Or has their quest to change American culture become nothing more than a quest for fame?

My Thoughts: Karen Kingsbury is honestly one of my favorite authors of all time. I was so glad when Nina introduced Heather and I to these books--we haven't stopped reading them since. She is yet another christian fiction author who draws you into her amazing stories--I often feel like I am part of the families she writes about and am always sad when the stories/series comes to an end. I highly recommend you reading the Above The Line Series (Take One, Take Two, Take Three & Take Four). It's interesting because she actually pulls characters from her other series into the current series giving you a chance to catch up with your old friends and what's going on in their lives (I'm not crazy...if you decided to read these books, you'll be wanting the same thing)! Take Four is set to come out on June 22nd of this year-5 days, 23 hours, 40 minutes from now (I love how they're doing a countdown on her website). I read this book in less then two days as I was recovering from my surgery (I couldn't put it down). Read it-you will definitely leave feeling refreshed and wanting more!
