Back in April.....

Someone had a big birthday!  Her 1st birthday to be exact and boy was it a special one.  I mean, how many other kiddos get to celebrate their birthday THREE times?!  Miss Sophia Grace turned 1 on April 13th and James and I had the opportunity to be a part of not one, but TWO of those birthday celebrations.

On Wednesday, the actual day of her birthday, several of us headed to Hermann park to celebrate this very special occasion (Sophie turning 1 wasn't the only reason we had to celebrate....moments earlier we found out that we were having TWINS!!!).  The evening was filled with pizza, cookies, presents, pictures, duck feedings, friends, laughter, and most importantly lots of love!  I could write more about it, but I feel like the pictures say more than my words ever could!

And then on Saturday, we had her BIG birthday bash!!  I'll tell you what, I sure hope Heather plans on helping me with the twins birthday party because she did a fabulous job on the little miss'!  She added her own special touch by making just about everything~Sophie definitely celebrated the BIG ONE in style.  There was zebra print all over the place: from her adorable outfit, the beautiful signs, the tasty cupcakes, to the fabulous balloons it just couldn't have been any more adorable!  The swing set (aka: fort) was built just in time-between this and the jump house, the kids had tons of fun!  Just check it out for yourself:

Sweet girl~I cannot believe a year (well now a year and a half) has gone by since you were born!  Just like the song says, you are more than just a pretty face and I look forward to seeing all the amazing things you will do in your lifetime.  We feel so blessed to be a part of your journey and love you more than words can express.  Here's to another year of wonderful memories :)
