35 Week Ultrasound

I went to the hospital this morning for another ultrasound to check the girls measurements and make sure they're making the progress that they should be. They are growing beautifully and this doctor suspects it won't be much longer either!  Emeri is weighing in at 5 pounds and Avari is weighing in at 4.13 pounds. WOW!  My chunky monkey's are getting big!!!  This makes me feel SO much better about the possibility of them coming early.  The technician also said that Emeri has a large head....which makes me nervous about having to push her out!  And apparently Avari has a long, narrow head...this being from the lack of room she seems to have in there.  She said it's no big deal though because when she comes out, it will go back to normal.

I didn't know I was going to have to be monitored today.  I simply asked for a "hat" to pee in to assist me in my urine collection.  This turned into questions about why I was having to do the urinalysis to questions about my blood pressure.  This all resulted in a phone call to Dr. Peterson and then a subsequent 20 minute monitor of me and the girls.  I didn't mind doing it....I just thought I was asking for a "hat" is all :)

The girls heart rates are perfect and apparently I am having inconsistent contractions already (I didn't actually know this...well, not recently anyways). My blood pressure is still slightly elevated but not enough to cause much worry.  They tried to schedule me to return next week to be monitored again but had no available appointments.  So, I guess at this point I continue with the urinalysis, see Dr. Peterson tomorrow, and then we'll go from there.

Well, babies permitting that is.....
