My Summer To Do List (You know...the one I NEVER get through!!)

.) Make one of the spare bedrooms into a scrapbooking room. I've always wanted this...my own personal space to lay it all out and NOT have to clean it up every time I am finished. Why am I waiting till just now you ask? Well, I'm lazy I guess. I have been checking out the organizational stuff at places like Hobby Lobby and Archivers. Those boxes are deceiving, showing you the whole setup rather than what is actually in the box. You have to buy like 10 boxes to get everything you want...I DON'T think the budget nazi will approve!!

.) Clean out my closest...you know, the one my husband is always complaining about. Apparently I don't wear 1/2 the clothes that are in there. OK James, I'll clean it out and make room for NEW CLOTHES!!! ;-)

.) Read, Read, Read! Our office over floweth with books. Between Nina, my mother-in-law, Heather, and my sister-in-law....I just can't keep up (not to mention the books I buy myself). Did I also forget to mention the magazines that have piled up over the YEARS?!?!

.) Clean my highly disorganized office. Yes, I will give James credit...he generally keeps his side VERY clean. I, on the other hand, tend to use it as my "junk" room where I stash all the things that I don't know what else to do with. YIKES!

.) Finish the really cute address book I made last summer. My intention was to compile all of my addresses into one book, using pencil of course for all those pesky moves. I started it and never finished it...so now, every time I need an address, I have to check both books in order to find it!!

.) Start working out/eating more healthy. I know, I know...I say this EVERY summer but seriously guys, this is it...I'm going to do it!!!

.) Decorate the house. I hear that this will ALWAYS be a work in progress, but there are soo many thoughts/ideas I have for our house that I am ready to put into action. I have even bought things that are just sitting in the closet, collecting dust...I think it's time to hang those things up!!

.) Reconnect! I hate to admit it, but I am HORRIBLE at keeping in touch with friends & family. It really isn't personal, I just stay incredibly busy (and so does everyone else)...I'm also not a big fan of talking on the phone nor am I all that good about replying to emails. Just ask anyone, they can tell it's summer when I'm back in touch! ;-P

.) Take classes. I have really been considering taking a few classes that might enhance my creative side (ha....hopefully these teachers are in the miracle working business). I would love to take a scrapbooking class, photography class, and a cake/cookie decorating class.

.) Work! I know, I know....I should NOT be working over the summer. BUT, I really want to get things organized & prepared for next year so life will run a little more smoothly. Since I have added to my load, I want to get ahead of the game to avoid the inevitable stress (at least as much as possible)!!

Although I am sure there is MUCH more that I need to do, this is all I have for now. So, I'll let you know at the end of the summer how much ACTUALLY got accomplished! ;-)
