It's interesting to me how things that happened months ago seem like a lifetime while things that happened years ago feel like yesterday. At times, I just want to start fresh with what is currently going on in my life rather than hitting the high points over the last few months...but I truly want to record these special moments in time as a way to help me treasure them forever!
Unfortunately, my birthday just happened to fall in the middle of my gross depression (thank God I am not in that place anymore). And, thank God I have amazing people in my life who despite my sadness, found a way to make my birthday a special one.
Not only did I receive a plethora of cards, phone calls, emails, texts, Facebook messages, & gifts....I also received a couple of surprise gifts that were sent to my work! Thank you to all my sweet family and friends for making my birthday extra special!

That Thursday evening, we enjoyed dinner at Lupe Tortilla with the intentions of really celebrating on Friday. That night, we went and had dinner at Perry's. All I have to say is DELICIOUS and so nice....it was quite special with sweet conversation.
After dinner, we ended our night with a fantastic Michael W. Smith concert! Honestly, I wasn't too thrilled about going out (remember-depressed) but I was told that I should try to enjoy it....that God would bless me through the music. I can't deny it...she was right! It was an incredible concert and I found God tugging at my heart...He had already started working on me at this point! :)
