Hope & Faith~24 Week Ultrasound!

On Thursday, August 11th we had our monthly ultrasound (23 weeks and 3 days) at the hospital.  And Praise the Lord, this was a MUCH better experience than the last time we went in.  We were both at peace and just excited to be seeing our little angels once again....we knew that God was in control no matter what the doctors had to say.  However, I won't deny that there was a little anxiety as we waited to see what they might say this time.  As we walked in, I saw that we had the same doctor we had the last time we were there.  I initially thought "oh great" but then immediately decided to have a positive attitude and not let what happened last time ruin this experience.  And you know what, she was so much nicer this time that she was the last....maybe she was just having a bad day (as we all do) the first time.  Plus, we had the most wonderful technician performing the ultrasound-she was so sweet and very informative which put us both at ease.  She kept telling us everything she was doing and letting us know that the girls looked great!  I even asked her if I could request her next time...unfortunately, they make their rounds to the different hospitals and she isn't always there.

She checked on Emeri's foot again and what she said brought tears to BOTH of our eyes (yes, even James cried)-her foot looks great.....exactly as it should look!!  Now towards the end, she did check it again and noticed that it was slightly turned out but the doctor thinks little Emeri is just being a stinker!  She's very flexible and just tends to turn it out from time to time.  They are just glad that they were able to get several shots of her foot looking perfect.  They are going to keep an eye on things but they are WAY less concerned than they were before.

They were not able to look at Avari's heart as closely as they did before but they are still not that concerned with the calcium deposit they found before.  The technician even told us that she hates when they find these spots because it unnecessarily worries parents.  Again, they will keep an eye on things just in case.

WOW!  What amazing news!  We were sure to give credit where credit is due and told them that God is so good and so many people have been wrapping prayers around our precious little girls!  I cannot thank everyone enough for the tremendous amount of support and prayers we have received through all of this~it is definitely well received and much appreciated!  And, please, if you don't mind, keep them coming!!!

~Thank you God for taking care of our sweet babies, for giving us hope when we feel hopeless, and for strengthening our faith during suffering!~
