I don't really have much to report from this appointment other than to say my girls are doing GREAT! :) My doctor examined me this time around because of my recent complaint of discomfort down there. Honestly, I was a little worried that they were starting to come out already....I know, amateur you say! But that's how painful it has been. I mean, it literally hurt to walk...even slowly! And laying down helped but turning over was excruciating!! Her examination concluded that I am not in pre-term labor-my cervix is closed and tight. She said that she doesn't doubt that I am in a LOT of pain....the girls are both head down now (yay!) and just REALLY far down. Apparently this won't hurt them; it will just cause mommy a lot of pain. This is just fine with me-I can handle the pain as long as my baby girls are okay :)
Oh, and my blood pressure was a little high at this appointment (which has never happened before). They checked it twice and each time the top number was higher than it should be. They didn't seem overly concerned, especially since they haven't seen any protein in my urine (which can be a sign of preeclampsia). So, they wanted me to get my blood pressure checked again during my appointment at the hospital which was the following day. It was still a little high at this appointment but lower than the day before. It was the same way when I went to the GI doctor last week. I assume this is just something that they will keep an eye on!
I am now seeing Dr. Peterson every 2 weeks so I have another appointment on Wednesday. I will try to update more quickly this time :)
