This certainly was a special day for us! Not only because it was our first Thanksgiving as a family of four but simply because we have SO much to be thankful for. Oh sure, we missed going home and spending the weekend with our family. However, there's just something so special about celebrating the holidays with your own children.
Just because we had to stay home (preemie, 2.5 week old babies + germs during flu season = no good), didn't mean we wanted to miss out on all the festivities. And what is everyones favorite festivity at Thanksgiving? Don't lie....you know it's the FOOD! So, we cooked bought an elaborate meal courtesy of the sweetest mother-in-law...thank you, Jan Paradis! James went and picked up our Thanksgiving dinner from the Cracker Barrel and I have to admit, we really enjoyed it! If you're ever in a situation where you need to buy a holiday meal rather than cook it, I HIGHLY recommend this place.
And, what does every holiday require? Why, a photo shoot of course :) We didn't exactly have any preemie turkey outfits to show off for this occasion but our sweet friend Holly sent us some adorable bibs all the way from Virginia!
*Thanks Mrs. Holly~we enjoyed sporting these cutesy things while grubbing down on our Thanksgiving meal!*

A little out of place but I couldn't resist sharing that sweet smile :)
And of course, what better to do on Thanksgiving Day than take your VERY first walk in what we call "the limo"! So, we bundled up our little angels, made sure they were snug in their little car seats and set off on our normal walking trail! They seemed to enjoy it....okay, we enjoyed it and they just slept the whole time :) Just see for yourself!
