Peanut Butter Cornflake Treats

New Dinner #8: Peanut Butter Cornflake Treats (from: Debbie Sowell)


Ingredients:
1 cup sugar
1 cup corn syrup
1 1/2 cups peanut butter
5 cups cornflakes

1) Measure cornflakes into a large bowl.
2) Mix sugar and corn syrup in a medium size pot.  Heat until sugar dissolves and begins to boil.  Remove from heat.
3) Add peanut butter and mix together.
4) Pour mixture over cornflakes and mix to where the cornflakes are completely coated.
5) Drop spoonfuls on wax paper until they cool.

Results:



My Thoughts: YUM-O!  These are delish and super easy to make (and no, probably not that great for you).  A coworker made these for our last team leader meeting and I decided to try one on my way out.  I'm so glad I did or otherwise I would have missed out!  The recipe doesn't call for the chocolate drizzle you see in the pictures but James decided we should try it anyways....he was right and we ended up adding it to ALL of them because we liked it so much!  I definitely recommend this recipe and I'm sure I'll be making them again soon :)

Oh Jaime....do you remember I use to make these and you LOVED them. So glad yo got the recipe. I like rice krispie's but my mamaw has always used flakes.

No, I don't remember that but that is too funny :) Yum, I def. want to try it with rice krispie's!!!
