A Glorious Day!

Let's play the rewind game again....and go back to let's say February 20th....a day, in my opinion, well worth watching again!  Although James came to know the Lord a long time ago, he had never made that public profession of faith and got baptized.  After visiting Kingsland Baptist Church off and on for a couple of years, we finally settled down by committing to an ABF group, Outfitters, and joining the church.

So many amazing things came from the issues we've had over the past couple of years.....praise God for bringing us back to Him!  I was just saying to James last night how different our lives were this time last summer....I had just had my surgery, I was on a lot of medication (including shots), my diet was changing BIG time, and mostly, our  lives were just filled with a lot of worry and doubt.  I don't blame this on the circumstances we were in, but I blame it on the lack of a relationship with the Lord.  James and I are both so thankful for the way our lives have changed-we feel so blessed to be surrounded by an amazing group of people at Kingsland who have helped carry us through the hard times and who have been here to celebrate with us during the great times!  Words cannot express what this group of people means to us....I hope they know the very special place they hold in our hearts!

So, James' family (Mom, Nina, Ricky, Kristin, & Jay) and our best friends (Kevin & Heather) came into town for the big event!  How blessed are we to have our family and friends there to celebrate with us (this is not to mention the number of people from church who came and stood with us for this special moment)?!  As always, Pastor Alex preached an amazing sermon and then we headed out to the garden to see James make this commitment to God and his family and begin this new journey in his life.  It was such a beautiful moment, such a perfect day and I am so very proud of my husband for taking this next step in faith!  God is so good!
