Patience IS a Virtue!

Everyone had built up this day....it was set, on June 22nd at our 16 week ultrasound, we were to find out the sex of our babies.

BOTH babies.

We were excited.  People had started the count down several days before.  The numerous phone calls, texts, and Facebook messages proved that everyone was anxiously awaiting our news.

Apparently, Baby Paradis B didn't get the memo...or did and thought he/she (we didn't know at the time) would be uncooperative just for kicks.  Just so you know baby, NOT funny!

Needless to say, we found out that we were having at least ONE sweet cooperative baby girl!!!  We were/are thrilled but couldn't deny our piqued interest in what the other little stinker might be.  Would our little girl have a twin sister or a twin brother?!

We had our celebratory dinner with Heather, Kevin, & Sophie that evening (yum, Chuy's) and then headed to Babies "R" Us where I bought some adorable PINK things for our daughter!!!  Wow, I love saying that!

I won't deny as the night went on that I was slightly disappointed.  It is hard to admit this but hey, I'm only human right?!  I kept telling myself that it didn't matter that we didn't know what the other one was....we got to see them and they are both healthy!  But I am impatient and wanted to start planning ASAP!  How would I be able to plan without knowing what BOTH babies were?

The next morning, a sweet friend reminded me of the very thing I had been trying to convince myself of.  Not only that, but the fact that I get to see my babies FAR more than the average person AND we were able to find out the sex of at least one of them a lot sooner as well.  I already knew all of this, but I needed to hear it from someone else at that moment...so, thanks friend :)

So, it was still a beautiful day, regardless of the lack of information we received.  We knew we had at least one precious little girl on the way and two strong, healthy babies.  We are truly blessed and thanking God for our little miracles!!

Isn't that little hiney just the most adorable thing ever?!
It's a GIRL!!!!!
I couldn't resist ;)
