11 Weeks Ultrasound-May 17th

I had been anxiously awaiting this day for about 3 weeks.  I know, I know...I get to see my babies way more often than those with singles because of the "high risk pregnancy" thing.  And I am truly grateful for that....but I still count down the days each time.  I am at peace, and worry a lot less than I expected (praise God for changing my life), but I always feel so relieved after seeing them and knowing that they are still doing so well!!  This ultrasound was an extra exciting one as it was "high-def" and at the hospital.  They needed to look and make sure that the twins are in separate sacs receiving separate everything (food, blood, etc.).  They are, which is really good because there is the potential risk of problems if they are sharing these things.  But, just so you know, this is not a guarantee that they are fraternal twins (although a lot of people have this misconception).  There is always the chance that they split early and are still identical.  We will only know this for sure after they're born (or if we find out it's a girl and a boy).

This turned out to be another great ultrasound-the twins are perfect (as we already knew).  It was amazing to see their tiny, but defined little bodies....they have always been real to me but they actually look like babies now!!!  It was incredible and I couldn't stop smiling (and even crying a little) the entire time.  At one point I had to calm myself down because my husband was cracking me up which made my belly go up and down...in return making the picture go all over the place ;-P  Even without my laughter, the babies were so busy, making so many movements....seriously the most incredible thing I've ever seen.  Could I be anymore in love?!?!  I could go on and on all day but will spare you my mushiness and let you get on to the pictures which is what you really care about anyways (unless you are one of those that have bypassed my writing and skipped ahead anyways)!
